Technical Support Specialist

Job Title: Technical Support Specialist

IPQualityScore is seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for solving customer issues and providing solutions to help stop fraud and detect malicious actors on the internet. If you have a passion for technology, solving problems and helping customers, we encourage you to apply for this opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Triage customer complaints and help requests
  • Solve technical issues (broad range, integration strategies, solving bugs, etc.)
  • Minor QA/bug testing
  • Bug reporting
  • Handling data disputes
  • Creating training materials
  • Cover on call shift as assigned

Requirements:

  • 3 years experience or greater in Technical Support or similar role.
  • Strong problem-solving, customer service skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills both written and verbal.
  • Technical acumen in the following areas:
    • Common networking methodologies and the basics of WAN architecture (Site-to-site VPN, overlaid fabric, etc.)
    • Firewalls, heuristic rulesets, port blocking/allowing, etc.
    • DNS, Cloudflare (proxied vs. non-proxied specifically) and similar technologies.
    • Local VMs, how VMs work, virtual networking (VMWare + Hyper-v)
  • Experience with some or all of the following tools:
    • NMap, Dig / NSLookup, Traceroute, Postman / Insomnia / Bruno, VSCode, Stripe, CRMs ( Hubsport / Salesforce ), Nginx/Apache, Wireshark, Docker
  • Willingness to work Saturdays as part of a standard work schedule
  • Willingness to work early morning or late day shifts (compared to Eastern Standard time)

Extra Points for:

  • A+, Microsoft MCP, AWS or similar certifications
  • Technical Acumen in the following areas: 
    • Social engineering attacks at a broad scale
    • Secrets management
    • How to build and maintain a web server/application backend, etc.
    • High-level understanding of compliance/GDPR/various laws/regulations, etc.
    • Docker, Docker networking, Docker deployment (K8s also helpful)
    • Able to read programming languages (Javascript, PHP, Python, Java preferred)
  • Understanding of IPQualityScore’s APIs, frameworks or other utilities.
