Branching

About Branching

Branching allows you to redirect users to different Flows and URLs. With Branching, you can automatically direct users to a new URL—such as to back to your own website—when they have completed a Flow.

Branching can also be used to automatically send users between different Flows. For example, you can create a Flow with additional Steps such as ID Verification for more thorough analysis. If a Flow reports a user as suspicious, you can automatically send them to the other Flow for additional verification.

You can set conditions for each Branch to determine when a user is sent to a new URL or Flow.

Creating a Branch

  1. Select any Step of your Flow.

  2. Select the Branching tab.

  3. Click Create Branch.

  4. Click Edit.

  5. In the text field at the top, enter a name for the Branch. Naming your Branches can help you better keep track of what each Branch does.

  6. Click Add Condition.

  7. Select a Step from the list on the left. You can add conditions related to any Steps that have already been completed.

  8. Select a condition related to that Step from the list on the right. For example, if you selected a "Proxy & VPN" Step, you could select conditions related to the Proxy & VPN Detection API, such as "Fraud Score", "Proxy", or "Crawler".

  9. Configure the condition by editing the fields. This will depend on the condition selected and the needs of your specific use case.

For example, if you selected the "Fraud Score" condition, you could set the condition to be "If a Fraud Score is greater than 50". In that case, any users who returned a fraud score greater than 50 would activate the Branch and be redirected.

  10. You can add additional conditions by clicking Add Condition again.

    Note

All conditions must be met for the branch to activate. For example, if you set 3 conditions, all 3 conditions must be met.

  11. In the Then menu, select Send User to URL or Send User to Flow.

  12. In the field to the right of the Then menu, enter the URL or Flow you want to send the user to.

  13. Click Done.

  14. Click Save.

  15. You can preview the Branch yourself and confirm it works by clicking the Preview button and going through the Flow.
